Christopher Hamblyn Associates was first formed in 1989 by Jim Hyde along with two fellow Directors. During the following eight years the company grew rapidly achieving an excellent reputation for their professionalism and for the level of integrity given to each assignment.

CHA were amongst the first to include a full Psychological Assessment of all shortlisted candidates administered by their Occupational Psychologist, which was included within the fee.

The sectors and industries in which the company undertook assignments were wide and varied and included Water, Oil, Gas, Construction, Sport, Retail, Chemicals etc. They were also called upon to travel widely not only within the UK but also in Europe, the Far and Middle East and indeed the U.S.A. where they recruited at all levels of middle and senior management.

In 1998 the company was restructured and Christopher Hamblyn Associates Ltd became the parent company. From these changes Hamblyn Executive Selection, Hamblyn Media Selection and Hamblyn International Selection were formed, all working under the Hamblyn Selection name.
