Benefits of psychometric assessment in the selection of people


Psychometric tests are a fair and objective way of assessing job relevant abilities that are very difficult to assess using other selection methods.

Unstructured interviews can be very subjective, whereas tests allow candidates to demonstrate their abilities on a completely level playing field. People who perform well on carefully chosen selection tests have been shown to perform better on-the-job and are more likely to be happy at work as a result of having been selected for a job which is well suited to their own unique abilities.
